A public meeting on the Kahului Airport master plan update is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 19 at the Kaunoa Senior Center in Spreckelsville.
The update will assess the capacity of existing airport facilities and determine if they are adequate to meet future demands. The state Department of Transportation also is preparing the Kahului Airport noise compatibility program to reduce conflicting land uses.
The meeting will include presentations on recent airport operations and passenger forecasts, planned improvements and project updates. Community comments will be accepted.
