Upcountry Sustainability presents: Wild Edibles of Hawaii

Herbalist David Bruce Leonard will discuss the food potential of our Maui landscape, and how to harvest responsibly.  October 20, 7 pm, at the Hali`imaile Community Center on Makomako St. in Hali`imaile (mauka of Hali`imaile Rd.), the public is invited to learn about the Hawaiian forests, fields, beaches, and back yards, filled to the brim with wild edibles.  Learn which plants are edible? Which are poisonous? Come and find out what’s growing in your back yard!  This event is free.  Questions, call 573-9260.
