According to Mr. McConahey of Biological Capital, BC’s role is surge development, to help sustainable projects, and convince Moloka’i residents that the project be beneficial to Molokai.

Answer to questions:

1. Does Pattern have any firm 50-meter wind data (not estimates or extrapolations) for the proposed turbine tower sites on Molokai?

Answer: by David Parquet of PEG: “No” Parquet said they won’t know until the MET (meteorological tower) are installed in a couple of months.

2. If the Lanai part of the project does not go forward, will Molokai be targeted for all 400 MW?

Answer: Parquet: “No.”

3. What is Pattern’s estimated share of the total project budget, including the cable?

Answer: Parquet: “Not sure. Maybe 50-100 million.”

4.  Where is the funding was coming from?

Answer: Mr. Parquet said that Riverstone Private Equity, with 17 billion in primarily energy assets, was an investor. He said that investments would come from tax equities and cash equities. Mr McConahey said that BC would also be investing.
